ABSTRACT
This research work examines simply the problems facing location of computer centres in rural areas. A case study of Egor local government area of Edo state. The research was focus on the problem, socio-economic status, and industrial reference to Egor as a rural area. Relevant literature from both textbooks, newspaper, journals etc were reviewed to find out, relevant information and provide solution, improvements and eradication of the problem facing computer education centres location in rural area. In addition, the use of prepared questionnaire was employed to collect data. On the whole, the study then revealed that
- Lack of infrastructural facilities in rural areas is affecting location of computer education centres in rural areas
- Due to the absence of computer education centres in rural areas, it has encouraged rural-urban migration
- There has been no significant relationship between the socio-economic status of rural dwellers and urban dwellers
- Lack of capital for investment, has adversely affected the location of computer education centres in rural areas.
Based on the above, the following recommendations were made.
